Sewa Warriors – Running to Serve 2016
CHECK OUT THE CAUSE & OUR JOURNEY
When you educate a man, you educate a person.
When you educate a girl, you educate a generation !
On 16th October 2016, Srishti’s “Sewa Warriors” participated for the fourth consecutive year in the Scotia Toronto Waterfront Marathon event to raise money to build a Residential School in the remote North East hills of India, for under-privileged tribal girls, to pursue secondary education, in partnership with Sewa Canada International, a registered charity in Canada.
We raised $10,000 at this event for Sewa Canada International this year. This makes it $40,000 over the last 4 years for this cause to help Sewa Canada raise the required money to build this school. Work on the site in Belbari, India is in progress, as we continue to march towards our target to help complete this school.
