2014 Cricket Dhamaka

For second year in a row – Srishti presented Cricket Dhamaka for the SRISHTI Cup. This year we had 6 teams competing for SRISHTI cup.

Under perfect weather conditions, the games started at 10:30am. We saw some explosive cricket from all of the cricketers with a flurry of sixes and fours – from all of the six teams. The games were played on two pitches readied for this purpose at the Springbank Park. The matches progressed through the day with the finals played at 4:00pm. Team TCS won a closely contested final by 12 runs to win the Srishti Cup. The young Team Western scored 84 runs in 10 overs which was short of the target of 96 set by the TCS team, to finish runners up in the tournament.

The day was also day of music, games, fun and food for the families of the players and other participants and children.

We would like to thank all of the volunteers of Srishti who spent many hours planning the event, transporting equipment preparing the pitch, marking the grounds, umpring the games, maintaining scores etc. We would also like to thank Srishti volunteer families who brought/contributed savoury home cooked food for the event. Most importantly thanks to all the participants who attended, played and made this a successful event.
